Unfolding Letter To Younger Self

For every girl who feels that she is not the main character of her own story, this letter is for you too.

Hey, mini Aats!

I wish you could be me for one day.

This letter is coming to you from your 19 years older self. Yeah am still alive and you know what life can be so beautiful so just breathe, your days are coming. And there are so many things I want to tell you, it’s hard to know where to start but I’m sure that you want to know one thing, am I living the same life as I was living in my childhood? So let me tell you NO!! You will soon get to know how this happened, how you’ll be free and how you’ll gonna be this much strong, happy and independent. Until then don’t lose hope and keep praying.

To the girl I was 12 years ago, math is hard but learning is great. Do not feel like you’ll never get better at this. Keep being practice and learning, you are on to a great start. Do not worry about people who don’t want to be your friends and keep focusing on building genuine relationships with the ones who are genuine too. It is ok you became bubbly; sometimes it is better to be loud. Forget about the bullies; you will prove them wrong one day, so do not even doubt yourself for a second. You have a bright path ahead. Being an average student is not the end of the world, genuine ones will be there to help you get up. Taking baby steps towards studies and independence will be exciting, but take mental notes. Please take a moment and try to take it all in. You are on the right track regarding what you want to do in the future.

Keep listening to yourself, and cry once in a while. Remember not to compare yourself to others. You have your priorities straight. The road is still long, but the ride is worth it. Sooner you’ll look different inside and out but not in height. Also, there’s one piece of advice for you if you want to look different in height too then please drink milk with Complan and do exercise otherwise your friends and family will still call you mini Aatika. But you probably don’t expect to turn out this way; you will be surprised but proud at the same time. At last, I am promising you I will continue moving forward without forgetting about you.

I love you mini Aats!

Yours truly,

Older Aatika
